Who We Are
Mackenzie’s clinical experience spans outpatient psychiatry, acute pediatric inpatient care, and hospital-based settings. Prior to opening her private practice, she provided psychiatric care in an outpatient clinic, managing a diverse caseload across the lifespan and collaborating closely with therapists and medical providers to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care.
Mackenzie has worked in acute pediatric psychiatry at Franciscan Children’s Hospital, a McLean Hospital collaborative, where she supported children and adolescents with complex psychiatric and behavioral needs. This experience informs a trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate approach, with a strong emphasis on parent collaboration when working with younger clients.
Mackenzie’s hospital-based training at Tufts Medical Center further strengthened her ability to assess complex presentations and reinforced the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, clear communication, and continuity of care.
In her practice, Mackenzie integrates principles from CBT, ACT, and DBT into visits and prescribes thoughtfully, using medication as one component of a comprehensive treatment plan. Mackenzie strives to create an environment where clients and families feel informed, supported, and actively involved in their care.
